Welcome to MetaCTF’s blog! We know you might have a few questions, and hopefully we have the answers.
What is MetaCTF?
MetaCTF was started by a group of students at the University of Virginia as a volunteer project running capture-the-flag (CTF) events at high schools and universities. We recognized the lack of accessible, complete cybersecurity education resources and realized that CTF events were the perfect format for teaching cybersecurity concepts.
We have since evolved into the company we are today, with the same goal to make cybersecurity education accessible and fun. We create hands-on, interactive, and educational cybersecurity exercises. These exercises make it easy to learn new cybersecurity skills by breaking down complex cybersecurity concepts into engaging challenges that simulate real world scenarios. Since 2014, we have held over 75 events and trainings globally, reaching over 10,000 people.
